01Who we are

BRIC Studios ("BRIC", "we", "us") operates bricstudios.com, a property intelligence platform for owners and brokers of New York City multifamily and mixed-use real estate. For anything in this policy, contact matthew@bricstudios.com.

02Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number, and role (owner or broker), plus your plan tier.
• Property and financial information you enter. Addresses, unit counts, rents, expenses, tax figures, loan assumptions, valuations, and documents you build in the platform (offering memoranda, reports, deal notes).
• Intent signals. If you tell us your objective for a property (for example selling, refinancing, renovating, or exploring) we store that signal with its ZIP code and timeline, along with your consent status for inclusion in aggregated market data.
• Public-record data. When you enter an address, we retrieve associated public records (city assessment, lot, and building data) and attach them to your workspace.
• Technical information. We use your browser's local storage to keep your workspace, session, and preferences on your device. We collect standard server logs through our hosting providers. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

03How we use it

• To provide the platform: valuations, benchmarks, dashboards, document generation, and syncing your workspace between your devices.
• To build aggregated, privacy-protected market intelligence, governed by our Data Rights rules (five-owner minimum pool, 30-day delay, no individual property ever shown).
• To communicate with you about your account, the product, and, with your consent, product updates and offers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

04What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never display your individual property data, valuations, or financials publicly or to other users, unless you explicitly choose to share a specific document or property yourself.
• We never accept payment to alter benchmarks, rankings, or provider listings.

05When we share information

We share information only with service providers that operate the platform on our behalf: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Vercel (website hosting), and, once payments launch, a payment processor that handles your card details directly (we never store card numbers). These providers process data under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, in which case this policy continues to apply to previously collected data.

06Storage, security, and retention

Account and workspace data is stored with Supabase, protected by row-level security so each account can only read its own records, and encrypted in transit. We retain your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information and workspace data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records. Aggregated, de-identified market signals are not tied to your identity and may be retained.

07Your choices and rights

• Access and correction. You can view and edit your information in your account, or email us for a copy of what we hold.
• Deletion. Email matthew@bricstudios.com from your account address and we will delete your account and data as described above.
• Intent-signal consent. Inclusion of your objectives in aggregated signals is governed by the consent you give in the product, and you can withdraw it.
• Marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. Email us and we will honor verified requests as those laws require.

08Local storage and cookies

BRIC uses browser local storage to keep you signed in, to hold your workspace on your device, and to remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes locally held workspace data from that device; synced data remains in your account.

09Children

BRIC is a professional tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

10Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
